This page is for recruitment committee members only to schedule their move-ins for Fall 2024. If you ARE NOT on the recruitment committee and/or you have NOT submitted your agreement, any appointments scheduled will be CANCELLED
Agreement & Options
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Please sign below and acknowledge the following
You fully understand that you are being provided access to the Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity House before the official move-in date. Therefore you accept the following responsibilities in full and understand they will not be altered or changed unless approved in writing by a representative of the PSK Alumni Association and or Chapter President/Vice President in writing via email.
Moreover, you fully bind yourself by this agreement and any associated charges should any issues arise.
Moreover, You understand that no advance notice will be provided should any of the stated items in this document be deemed to be violated or not honored.
Your signature below fully binds you to all terms of this agreement.
You understand and accept full responsibility for controlling access to the building at 1300 Blackhawk Road until the official move-in date.
You are responsible for any person(s) who gain access to the property.
You accept full responsibility for any damage to the property, garbage, maintenance, or any concerns with the physical property outside the scope of your room. This includes all monetary costs up to and not limited to fixing, replacing, repairing, or making whole any items within the physical property.
You accept that you will be charged $250 per person and incident for any persons who gain entry and remain on the property for more than 5 minutes without prior approval from a representative of the PSK Alumni Association of NIU or Chapter President/Vice President.
You FULLY understand that no prior consultation or discussion needs to happen and that these charges will be automatic and payment will be made in full within 72 hours of the infraction.
You waive any right to dispute the charges as mentioned earlier as a condition of moving into the fraternity house before the official move-in date.
You also waive your rights to split any charges with any other individual or persons and accept them as 100% yours.
Must be Phired Up certified
You agree to report any irregularity or situation to a representative of the PSK Alumni Association and/or the Chapter President/VP within 10 minutes of the situation
You accept and understand that you will only be provided access to your room and entry to the building. Any other areas may be deemed off-limits or closed until 1:00 pm on the official house move-in/opening date.
You understand that this agreement may be amended by a representative of the PSK Alumni Association and/or Chapter President/Vice President at any time should circumstances change and will be communicated in writing via email only.
No consumption of alcohol until 11:00 pm each night until house's official move-in date
You will enforce that no one enters the building or remains unless approved by the alumni association and/or Chapter President/president and again you agree to item #3 and all associated charges without question.
Option A
All house cleaning for all recruitment-related events including but not limited to Clean bathrooms (toilets, sinks, showers)
Take out all garbage
Mop all floors
Clean entire kitchen
Pick up trash outside the house
Set up, organize, break down, and clean up after every recruitment event including but NOT limited to… Things for tabling The PSK flag Wagon carrying inventory to hand out, etc. Keep track of recruitment inventory with a document such as... Lanyards, koozies, water bottles, etc
Take out the garbage before or after all events if needed ask the inductor if unsure
DD for PNM’s/recruitment team members Run food for recruiting members as needed (i.e., pick up food and bring it to them when they are hungry). Inductor will notify when this service will be needed
Average 5 names collected per week from the start of the semester until the end of September
Attend all recruitment events BUT not be very visible (i.e., stay in the background). Only talk to PNMs when directed by the President, Vice President, Inductor, and Recruitment Chairman for example… Toss ball around Distribute food (be the last one to eat after PNM’s and the recruitment team) Keep the area clean from garbage Smile and be friendly just keep conversations short and quickly hand people off to a recruitment team member
You may be required to perform duties not specifically listed herein by the recruitment chairman, Inductor, President, and/or Vice president. You may request these in writing before being required to perform
Cannot bond people from option B to do your tasks.
Can be moved from having to do Option A to Option B with a 2/3 majority vote of the Recruitment Committee
Option B
Actively participate in recruitment events such as... Actively engaging PNMs (Calling, Texting, Emailing, Snapchat)
Working RingCentral System
Name-driving ALL names obtained MUST immediately be put into the short form with Name & Phone# minimum
Working week of Welcome/PSK/IFC events, etc (subject to be adjusted by 2/3 majority vote of recruitment committee)
Average 10 names collected per day/50 per week during the 5 days of Week of Welcome events ends Aug 25 Average 5 names per day/25 per week after Week of Welcome through Aug 26 through Sept 15 Average 1 name per day/10 per week from Sept 16 through Sept 22
Staying out of clumps of people you already know Not only interacting with Phi Sigs
Help move NIU students from Aug 21 through Aug 24 Be boots on the ground for recruitment such as... Going to all week of welcome events unless notified by the recruitment chair, inductor, President, or Vice president in writing (Line/Email only no verbal)
